About
Meet Caleb
One guy, one truck, one phone. The person who answers the call is the person who shows up.
I'm Caleb Brent, and I run Brent Locating out of TODO(brent: city/neighborhood, e.g., Falcon), just east of Colorado Springs.
I got into utility locating TODO(brent: number) years ago, working for TODO(brent: previous employer or "a regional locating outfit") across the Front Range. I learned the trade marking lines for TODO(brent: e.g., fiber crews, municipal projects, residential contractors) — the kind of work where one bad mark means a damage claim, a shut-off, or somebody's bad day.
After TODO(brent: number) years working under somebody else's name, I started Brent Locating in TODO(brent: year). The reason was simple: I wanted the guy who quoted the job to be the guy holding the receiver on the job. Every locate I do, I do myself. No subcontracted techs, no trainees on your dig site.
I run TODO(brent: equipment brand/model, e.g., a Vivax-Metrotech vLoc3-Pro) and I locate honestly. If a line is plastic and untraceable, I tell you. If a mark is an estimate, I say so. The paint on the ground is only worth what the person holding the wand can vouch for.
If you've got a dig coming up, give me a call. I answer.
