I'm Caleb Brent, and I run Brent Locating out of Colorado Springs — serving Falcon, Black Forest, Peyton, and everywhere else on the east side of town.
I've been locating utilities for three years. I started Brent Locating in 2023 because I wanted the guy who quoted the job to be the guy holding the receiver on the job. Every locate I do, I do myself. No subcontracted techs, no trainees on your dig site.
I run a Vivax-Metrotech VM-850 and I locate honestly. If a line is plastic and untraceable, I tell you. If a mark is an estimate, I say so. The paint on the ground is only worth what the person holding the wand can vouch for.
If you've got a dig coming up, give me a call. I answer. And if you've got a line nicked at 4pm on a Saturday, call anyway — I take emergency calls 24/7.

Note on licensure:Colorado does not issue a state-level license specifically for private utility locators. Brent Locating is a registered Colorado LLC with general liability insurance, and we're happy to send the insurance certificate before any job starts.
